This intense one-day resilience workshop delivers crisis management theory with the opportunity to put it into practice in a testing simulation to help you formulate and try out your plans.

Delivered at school by specialist crisis management professionals, our day-long workshop combines a morning session of interactive presentations and relevant case study analysis that help focus minds on the ‘what if’. This includes how to implement a model crisis plan, leadership in a crisis, how to manage social media, facing the press and other stakeholder communications.

Based on a realistic and evolving incident scenario tailored for your school, the afternoon session puts into practice the morning’s theory. You will practise breaking bad news to a parent over the telephone, responding to social media storms, drafting a press holding statement, writing an incident page for your own school website and conducting a telephone interview with a journalist. This creates the opportunity to fine-tune various communication skills and techniques in a safe, controlled environment.
